Thetrashexisdesignedasavirtuallycloglesspump,butwiththeaddedbenefitofarotordesignedtodefibrethestock,therebyassistingthefibrerecoveryfromanyfollowingequipment.TheTrashexissuitableforoperationwitheitherbatchorcontinuouspulpers.Whenoperatingwithabatchpulper,thetrashexisonlyrunwhenasmuchstockaspossiblehasbeenacceptedthroughtherotorscreenplate.Thenoperatingwithacontinuouspulper,adjustabletimerscontroltheTrashex,thefrequencyofoperationbeingdeterminedbythedegreeofstockcleanliness.Thisremovesaportionofthefurnishforscreening/cleaning,therebycontinuouslycleaningthepulper.
TheTrashexconsistsofafabricatedmildsteelbodyandstrengthenedstainlesssteellineddoor.ThestainlesssteelrotorismountedonanEN8driveshaft,carriedonanti-frictionbearingshousedinamildsteelbearingcartridge.

Featuringlargenozzlediametersandafree-flowimpeller,Contaminexisdesignedforplug-freepumpingofstockflowswithahighproportionofcontaminants.Theimpellerhasalongservicelifethankstoitshardfacing.Afrequencyconverteroffersthepossibilityforoptimizedpumpspeedandreducedenergyconsumptionforintermittentpumpingoperation.
